God grant that my dear Parent may now be enjoying herself in good health & spirits & the sincerest of all her wishes — I hope in little more than a month to hear a desirable & minute [inserted: account] of her by the return of the captain, how impatiently do I expect her arrival — My uncle & aunt are set out on their usual tour — Mrs. Gregory, my uncle's sister, asked me to pass some time with her in the country. I accepted the invitation with pleasure & have found a reason to repent of it — I never met with any person whose company I had more satisfaction in — she has cultivated an understanding naturally good by an intensive reading & possesses an uncommon liberality [inserted: of] sentiment — I have been so fortunate in both my expeditions from home to add a valuable acquisition to my list of favorites — the eldest Miss Heron & Mrs. Gregory I hope always
