IV I'm going by machine, and will stay there all tomorrow, getting back in time for reveille Monday morning. Therefore you won't hear from me tomorrow. Again, get in touch with Cous by wire through the office and tell him to try and get here Thursday or Friday and surprise me. I've been a good boy, so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to get off if some relative drops in and surprises me. I'll close with a poem. "A Soldier's Prayer" Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Let my blankets no one seize, so at night I will not freeze. Grant no pegs nor ropes will break, and bring the ten down 'fore I wake. Keep me safely in thy sight and grant no fire drill tonight. In the morning when I wake, feed me well with sirloin steak. God protect me from my dreams, make life better than it seems. Make the time go swiftly by, so that soon I'll rest on high. In a snowy feather bed, where I can lay my weary head. Take me back to the land where they do not wash in sand. Take me back I promise I'll never leave my home again. Love Warren
