on this job.
Well - What do you know - at 4 P.M. we were excused. I forgot to tell you that another reason for my taking the car was the fact that I would have to go to see Dad at the hospital and the trip home after that is fatiguing. But there I was at 4 P.M. with no plans and no where to go until 7 P.M. except that I would have to eat. Decided to look for a movie. So drove up to 23rd St and 2nd Ave and above there but there was nothing I wanted to see and what I did want to see would let me out too late. to eat and get to the hospital. It was 4:15 P.M. when I decided to add the price of the movie to what I would have paid for dinner at the Automat (eating out 3 times a week, 3 meals a day has been found to be expensive). So I decided to go to 52nd St and eat at the Covent Gardens altho I should have thought of the Champlain earlier because now that you are in France I should be at least sharing the idea of France here. Besides, I would have an opportunity to practice my French. But then, it didn't occur to me. It was still very early. But as luck would have it 52nd St ran one way from Madison Ave where I was so I had to go to 53rd St. It was 4:30 P.M. now and the contemplation of a 2 1/2 hour meal was a little too much.
