Where should I drive past do you think? Plunk - in front of the "Modern Museum of Art" — So I parked in front of it and paid my 25 cents fee and went in. It was the first time I had even been there and it was a delightful experience. Saw and adore the modern paintings one in particular kept my wrapt attention for almost 20 minutes — a painting by a Russian painter from 6/40 - 1942. It depicted from the distance the circulatory system of a body with a figure of a sturdy girl blending in - in the middle but as I studied it and got closer I noticed that all the anterior nerve ends etc - represented faces of people in all aspects of life with all emotions expressed in the figure and faces - also the area that looked from the distance like [illegible][illegible] - were upon scrutiny paintings of flowers and farms. I could have looked at it for weeks and seen something new each moment. We must see it together someday. Also took in the Photography Exhibit and I did not tell you how magnificent and thrilling that can be. Each photographer had a show including his early work and development. It included Wee Gee (Abe Felling) of P.M. whose work bowls one over. We must go there someday. I didn't have time to take in the movie which runs from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. and covers subjects like "War of Britain" - "War of Russia" etc - these days. But spent 15 minutes in their little garden reading and smoking. It was good.
