6. and felt pretty low because of the memories and found no mail. I couldn't frame a letter to you. Just [read?] the news and fell fast asleep. Mon and Dad are coming home on Monday and I am afraid that I will have greater trouble in wiring at night since the Dr. recommends that Dad sleep on a cot in an empty room. We are going to give Dad (my) Alvin's room and I will sleep in Dad's bed so it will not be easy to write at night but I will think of something. This morning, awoke early to a lovely bright day. Ran downstairs when the mailman rang and called for 3 cent postage due on a letter. Came down and found it was Alvin's letter full of photographs.
